If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site. The materials contained in this Academy are protected by applicable copyright and trademark law.

You agree to the release of liability and waiver of the right to sue if any loss results from participation in the activity, including an expressed assumption of risk where you the participant acknowledge understanding the nature of the activity and the risks involved, and choose voluntarily to accept those risks. The Academy is not responsible for the application of the learning materials provided.

Limitations In no event shall the Academy be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use the materials on the Academy’s website, even if the Academy or an authorized representative of the Academy has been notified orally or in writing of the possibility of such damage. Because some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties, or limitations of liability for consequential or incidental damages, these limitations may not apply to you.

Dispute Resolution Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms of Use or the Academy’s services shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the Canadian Arbitration Association. The arbitration shall be conducted in the jurisdiction of Ontario, Canada, unless otherwise agreed by the parties. The use of the Thinkific platform does not alter or affect the jurisdictional provisions of this agreement.
  10. Age Requirement Users must be at least 18 years old to use the Academy’s website and services. By using the website, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

Participation in Interactive Sessions When interactive sessions or learning community-building opportunities are offered through the courses, via other platforms such as ZOOM or Facebook group (and others), participation is voluntary. The Academy, owner, and instructor are not responsible for risk and liability for any harm or loss from interactions on these platforms. The interactions increase the learning and enrich the experience; however, this is not guaranteed. Privacy cannot be guaranteed on public platforms, even when it is a private page. Zoom or video sessions are recorded for the benefit of the course participants. If you do not want to be recorded, please do not turn on your video. You can still participate in the chat box. If you have any concerns, please contact the instructor. This also includes participating in experiential, hands-on, or shadowing activities onsite at the clinic.
  13. Accessibility, Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity We make efforts to make the learning accessible; please contact us if some needs are not met. We also reflect our values of accessibility, diversity, inclusion, and equity and do our best to reflect these values in all our interactions and materials.
  14. Technical Capacity and Support The Academy, owner, and instructor are not responsible for your device’s technical capacity to view videos and participate in activities. Additionally, while we strive to support your technical knowledge to navigate the course and activities, we are not responsible for any technical issues that may arise. Please contact us for support if you encounter any technical difficulties. The Academy is also not responsible if the platform Thinkific is down, experiencing technical difficulties, or running updates.
  15. Notices and Disclaimers The Academy, owner, and instructor are not responsible for any notifications, disclaimers, or information that is not read or followed by the user. Some videos may contain strobe lights, and it is the learner’s responsibility to review all information, including disclaimers. We support your learning and aim to set you up for success, but you are responsible for navigating the materials and adhering to all provided guidelines and instructions.
  16. References and Sources We have made every effort to reference and source all materials accurately; however, the Academy, owner, and instructor are not liable for any references or sources that may have been missed. Users are encouraged to verify any sources independently.
  17. Onsite Learning Experiences If a student participates in experiential, shadowing, or hands-on learning experiences onsite with ClaraDerma Academy, the student acknowledges and accepts the risks involved. The Academy, owner, and instructor are not liable for any harm or loss that may occur during these onsite experiences. Students are expected to adhere to all safety protocols and conduct guidelines provided by the Academy. Failure to comply with these expectations may result in removal from the onsite experience and possibly the Academy.
  18. Insurance ClaraDerma Academy requires students participating in onsite learning experiences to carry their own health and accident insurance. The Academy, owner, and instructor are not responsible for any medical expenses incurred as a result of participation in onsite activities. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure they are adequately insured. The Academy may request proof of insurance prior to participation in any onsite learning experiences.  
  19. Your Acceptance Of These Terms By enrolling in the Academy, you signify your acceptance of the Terms of Use. If you do not agree to the Terms of Use, please do not enroll in the Academy. Your continued enrollment in the Academy following the posting of changes to this Terms of Use will be deemed your acceptance of those changes.

Additional Clarification in regards to the Privacy Policy & Terms of Use: Partners with this Platform Information collected via the Thinkific platform, on behalf of this academy: ClaraDerma Academy includes the owner, instructor, host, and founder: Alicia Yap. You are providing permission for correspondence from ClaraDerma Academy in relation to these courses, this academy, and this learning platform/program. Any other permissions are optional for additional resources and information directly from ClaraDerma Academy’s email service provider via MailChimp and related services. By signing up, registering, enrolling, and providing your contact information, you consent to be contacted by this School and related personnel.
  21. No portion of the certificate program content, practicum, or micro-learning courses can be reproduced or shared without permission. ClaraDerma Academy and Alicia Yap retain the copyright of all materials and content.
